A Very Busy Weekend

So this weekend was a busy one - Blake was supposed to go play paintball with the guys on Saturday, but when it looked like the game was going to be rained out, he made plans to go to my parents' house in Baton Rouge.  The weather turned out to be nice, but he ended up spending a good part of the day cleaning out his truck and taking care of some things around the house.  We ended up getting to Baton Rouge really late, but Blake took us out to eat at one of our favorite places, Portobello's Grill (this was where we had our rehearsal dinner)!  I ordered my favorite dish, the Chicken Bianco, and it was amazing.

That night, we went to my parents' house and slept in my little sister's full-size bed.  It's not that bad with two people in it - but Isabelle's favorite place to sleep is in bed with us.  So I had to nurse her to sleep in the bed, and then carefully move her to the bassinet my parents keep at their house.  The poor baby was in an unfamiliar place, in an unfamiliar bed, and she's going through a growth spurt.  So Isabelle woke up SEVEN times that night.  Needless to say, I didn't sleep much either.  How did Blake sleep, you ask?  Blake slept all.  freaking.  night.  *sigh.*

The next morning, Blake, Isabelle, Lauren, and a very tired Momma went to Mass at St. Agnes, which is where we got married.  Then later that day, we went to my Aunt Carol's house to celebrate my Aunt Ginny's 50th birthday!  It was so nice getting to see all of my family there, since we don't get together very often.  Everyone LOVED little Isabelle, and she got passed around from person to person the whole time we were there...she was a pretty good sport about it, too!

Anyway, it was a great weekend - it was so nice to see all my aunts, uncles, and cousins!  I hope we can get together again soon!
