Well, Isabelle has officially said her first "word!"...or that's how I'm choosing to interpret her newest babbling noise. While I don't think she knows what "Momma" means yet, it's just so darn cute listening to her talk - especially when she sees me and starts her little "meh meh" sound! She's been saying it for a few days now, and I've been waiting to post this until I could capture her doing it on camera, but you're just going to have to take my word for it. Every time she sees the camera, she gets distracted and stops!
Isabelle has always loved her Momma, but lately she's been forming a real attachment to me. She wants me to hold her every second. If someone else is holding her and she sees me, she starts crying until she gets me. If I'm holding her and someone tries to take her from me, she turns her little body towards me, puts her head down, and clings to my shirt! It's really cute, and I love that she loves me, but sometimes Momma needs a little break, baby. Blake was holding her during Mass on Sunday (like he normally does), and Isabelle was not having it. She wanted Momma, and she was going to cry until she got me. So now, especially with a new baby on the way, we're going to have to teach her that she doesn't get Momma every time she wants her (I'll let you know how THAT goes, lol).
But there's nothing like being the Momma. There's nothing like knowing that you, and only you, can give this little one everything she needs - not only food and a clean butt, but security, comfort, and love as well. I <3 my baby bug!
