Well we have some GREAT news - Blake was recently offered a position working as the CBO (Certified Building Official) for the City of Franklin!
Blake's actually been working there for several months on a temporary basis, but now he has a permanent full-time job there! It's been a bit of an adjustment for him (mostly the waking-up-early-to-be-at-work-for-a-certain-time part), but he really likes the job and the people he works with.
I took Isabelle to go visit him this morning, and we got to see his office and meet the people he works with (he even has a secretary, she's very sweet)! Blake wanted my opinion on how he should decorate his office - it's actually very large, so he might put a coffee table and a little sofa and a few chairs in there. I'm going to go through some pictures we have on the computer, print them, and frame them so he can have them on his desk and shelves. And maybe a plant. He should have a plant. A fake plant that he won't neglect and accidentally kill.
Anyway, these past few months have been pretty discouraging for him. Men who are husbands and fathers carry such a burden to make sure they provide for their families (especially growing families like ours). We're so blessed that he was able to get this job, and we're so thankful for everyone's prayers and support. We're so proud of him, and I'm so thankful to have a husband who works so hard to provide for our little family!
